Terry O'Quinn is The Stepfather, the psychotic searcher who is seeking out a family to adopt...and 'discipline'. Meg Foster is Carol Grayland, the recently divorced mum who falls for the charm of The Stepfather and Jonathan Brandis is Todd Grayland, the 13-year old son, who rounds out the Stepfather's basic requirements for the perfect family.

The suspense is unrelenting as Carol and Todd and drawn deep into the dark corners of the Stepfathers labyrinthine world, until finally, mother and child are left alone to face his final judgement.
