Stripes (voiced by Frankie Muniz) is abandoned one stormy night by a travelling circus, and when a local farmer finds him he is taken back to meet all the other farmyard residents. Tucker the old Shetland Pony, Franny the wise goat, Lightning the dozy hound, Reggie the bird-brained rooster and a deranged big-city pelican called Goose quickly become his friends.

As he grows up, Stripes dreams of becoming a race-horse, and to take on the thoroughbred race-horses next door. With the help of his friends his dream becomes a reality, and Stripes is entered into the biggest race event of the year. Can Stripes prove himself...will he be able to earn his racing stripes?
