In 1980 ventriloquist Roger de Courcey managed to keep his unruly chum Nookie Bear under control long enough to star in their own six-part series for ITV. This classic show sees Roger and the barely restrained Nookie appear in a variety of comedy sketches that include a trip to Mars, an encounter with a fortune-teller and a disastrous attempt to make a record.
