Death in the Shadows

The inspiration for the popular sixties TV series ‘The Fugitive’, which spawned the hugely successful Harrison Ford movie in 1993, was in fact a real-life miscarriage of justice. This film dramatizes the conviction of surgeon Dr Sam Sheppard for allegedly murdering his wife, as seen from the point of view of his son Chip. When his father is eventually released, Chip reaches back to the past in an attempt to prove his dad’s innocence once and for all.
