On February 17, 2013, Soundgarden concluded a sold-out U.S. Winter tour in support of King Animal, their first studio album in over sixteen years, with a special Live from the Artists Den taping at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. Soundgarden mixed new songs with classic radio hits and rarities performed live for the first time, in front of a rapturous crowd. The concert has become the most requested Soundgarden show to be released of all-time. The 29 song, nearly two-and-a-half-hour show encompasses the band’s entire legacy of songs, from their early years with “Hunted Down” through their monumental albums Badmotorfinger and Superunknown respectively with “Outshined” and “Black Hole Sun,” and nearly every song from King Animal including “By Crooked Steps” and “Been Away Too Long.” The concert film features 21 songs never released on a concert film, 17 of which have never been released on a concert album, including “Blind Dogs” which is the first-time the band ever performed the song live.

Six years following the original taping, Artists Den in partnership with UMe, will release a suite of products for Soundgarden: Live from the Artists Den on July 26, 2019. The limited-edition Super Deluxe box will feature the complete 29-song concert film in 5.1 surround sound and stereo on Blu-ray, along with more than 30 minutes of bonus interviews with the band. The Super Deluxe will also feature four 180-gram audiophile black LPs, 2CDs, a 40-page photo book, four band member lithos, replica artist all-access pass and a replica ticket stub. Additional products that will be released include: 4LP 180-gram audiophile black vinyl, limited edition 4LP color vinyl (each disc will feature a unique combination of splattered colors), Blu-ray, 2-CD, digital live album and digital live video.

The Super Deluxe features 4LPs (180-gram black vinyl), 2CDs, Blu-ray video disc, a 40-page photo book from the concert, replica artist backstage pass, replica ticket from the night, 4 lithos featuring each band member all housed in a lift-top collar-style box (fits nicely alongside fans’ Soundgarden Super Deluxe library).

Additional formats include a 4LP 180-gram black audiophile vinyl edition featuring 4 individual jackets, 2-panel insert and a slipcase; a 2CD edition in a 6-panel softpak with a 16-page booklet; Blu-ray video in a standard Blu-ray amaray with 4-panel insert.
