The Leisure Suit Larry series has stood the test of time, moving between countless consoles and PC releases since its raunchy comedy made an impact back in the 1980s.
Rather than focusing on the exploits of the original Larry, Box Office Bust sees Larry’s nephew Larry Loveage enter the limelight. His uncle, now a successful filmmaker, needs his help finding a mole in the studio leaking ideas to rivals, with the usual mix of humorous puzzles, mini-games and peculiar characters standing in his way.
Playing as the new Larry, players will have an open-world environment to explore, filled with characters voiced by Hollywood talent, including Carmen Electra and Shannon Elizabeth.
Working in the studio, Larry will come across a number of well-realised film spoofs such as Bytanic, Beefcake Mountain and Horror Coffin. In the director’s mode players can edit their own film sequences with the spoofs on offer.
Lesiure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust may focus on a new main character, but the series cheeky humour and creative puzzles are still on show.
