The fifth and sixth series documents the life of James Herriot's old practice, Skeldale Veterinary Centre in Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
Here they carry on their founder's tradition treating all creatures great and small.  We take a peek at the comings-and-goings at the surgery run by senior partner and former Herriot trainee, Peter Wright and partner, Julian Norton. As we follow the vets out on visits to clients in more remote farm locations, the countryside provides a stunning, ever-changing backdrop.
