Bill Cosby was already a presence on television for much of the 1960s and '70s, but in 1984 he debuted his new series, THE COSBY SHOW. It went on to become one of the most popular shows on television. On the program, Cosby plays Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable who, along with his wife Claire (Phylicia Rashad), an attorney, struggles to balance the challenges of their successful careers with the demands of their five children. Cosby's goal with the show is to present a positive view of a regular, middle-class, and successful African-American family. As the years have passed, audiences have been able to watch the children grow up and face life's obstacles in a way that is realistic yet always marked by Cosby's mischievous humour. This collection presents all episodes from the fourth series of one of television's most groundbreaking sitcoms.
