This forth series includes lots of verbal playfulness and self-referential smartness and spoof of bad television, and a few recurring characters. MITCHELL AND WEBB are frequently at their funniest when exposing some modern vacuity and bunkum. A fine example when we saw the boss of the shampoo manufacturer Garnier (played by Mitchell) congratulating an employee for ‘The invention of the word ‘Nutrisse’ – which sounds like nutrition but doesn’t guarantee it – is one of the best things you’ve ever come up with.’
