When the verdict of "Not Proven" is returned in a murder trial, Taggart decides to stay at the scene of the crime - a fashionable health farm. When another murder occurs there, Taggart gets involved, though officially he is not on the case.

Julia Fraser, wife of a police sergeant, is brutally murdered whilst he is on duty. During a search of their house a list of names is found.
