He is known simply as Q (John de Lancie). A member of the mysterious god-like brings from a parallel existence called the Q Continuum, he claims to be ageless and to possess an I.Q. of 2,005. An impish prankster who is a master of disguise, he usually takes the form of a human male, a race for which he has more than once stated his disdain. Supposedly devoid of emotion, Q is nonetheless prone to jealous outbursts, petty tantrums and the occasional romantic inclination.
