He lives in a housing estate with his mother and sister at a time when, virtually overnight, hard drugs followed by AIDS arrive in housing estates across the UK. As drug dealing becomes rife in the city, Jo Jo is tempted into a new line of business.
Set against a backdrop of events which defined the early 1980s Looking After Jo Jo is the compelling story of one man’s struggle to survive.;Robert Carlyle (The Full Monty, Hamish Macbeth) leads the cast in this character-led BBC drama alongside Kevin McKidd, a fellow Trainspotting alum, and Jenny McCrindle.
