Lampedusa

Two-part Italian drama starring Claudio Amendola and Carolina Crescentini. After moving to the small Italian island of Lampedusa, coast guard Serra (Amendola) finds himself pushed to the limit as the island is overwhelmed with migrants desperately trying to make it to Europe from northern Africa. With hundreds of people arriving each day, Serra and local reception centre officer Viola (Crescentini) do their best to help as many people as they can. The cast also includes Antonino Bruschetta and Farid Elouardi.
