The directorial debut of British filmmaker Peter Strickland, this Romanian drama is based on a traditional Transylvanian ballad. Hilda Peter stars in the title role as a young woman who takes matters into her own hands after being mercilessly cast out of her home by her husband when he discovers that he is not the father of ten-year-old Orban.
