When charwoman Mrs Cragg (Peggy Mount), learns that her entire street is to be demolished by some unscrupulous business types, she and her friends decide to take matters into their own hands. Using important financial information gathered from the offices at which they regularly clean, the group seek to make a fortune in insider dealing to save their homes.
