Candy, a young and naive student, is embarking on an adventure to find truth and meaning to her life. her journey takes her through New York and Las Vegas where she encounters a variety of colourful characters who lead her astray: a poet (Richard Burton), an army General (Walter Matthau), a Mexican gardener (Ringo Starr) and a spiritual guru (Marlon Brando).
