I received my Connery six-film Bond collection securely packaged — an MGM box housed within a cardboard box. Inside, the steelbooks are neatly arranged in a sleek but otherwise plain 007-branded case. Each steelbook features imagery from its respective film, though it's a bit of a missed opportunity that they didn’t use the stunning original poster art. The 4K transfers themselves look fantastic — crisp and beautifully restored. However, the biggest letdown of this set is the disc menus. I had hoped they would improve upon the old “Ultimate Edition” menus, which featured a generic silhouette that hardly resembled any Bond actor. Instead, we now have basic, static DVD-style menus that feel outdated — more like something from 20 years ago. It’s clear MGM rushed this release and settled for minimal effort when it came to presentation. While I’ll certainly enjoy watching the films in 4K, the lackluster menus are a disappointing oversight that prevent this set from being truly special.
