Bill Oddie, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Antony Jay, Barry Cryer, Marty Feldman, Frank Muir, Denis Norden, Keith Waterhouse, Willis Hall, David Nobbs, Peter Tinniswood and the Monty Python team formed the core of the show’s writing talent. Its influence over irreverent and satirical comedy programmes is still felt to this day.
