Train and care for a horse before taking part in competitions in this Equestrian game for the Nintendo DS.

Riding Star gives players the opportunity to customise their horse, as well as their rider, before participating in a number of different events. Players can either choose to go straight into one of the three main game modes or play through a tutorial that teaches players how to care for, ride and compete with their horse, complete with advice from show jumping champion Ludger Beerbaum.

Gamers can choose to engage in Cross Country, Show Jumping, Dressage and Free Ride modes, which altogether span 10 different locations and settings. A realistically recreated stable allows users to engage in a number of different activities such as grooming and feeding the horse. Controls enable the player to determine the speed, direction and body position of the horse, and these must be performed correctly in tandem to successfully execute jumps.

For anyone who ever wanted to own and ride their own horse, Riding Star provides a simulation that will entertain any fans of the Equestrian sport, as well as let them experience caring for their own horse.
